Mark “Brad”ley Cahoone is a native Texan. He was born in Garland, then lived in Plano and Roanoke each for a couple of years before the family moved to Krum, TX in 1986. When they moved to Krum they created a small hobby farm. As the oldest of 4 children, he learned that hard work, ethics, accountability, and responsibility were necessities to be successful in most areas of life. Brad’s Dad, also named Mark Cahoone, worked for the United States Postal Service. Brad’s Mom, Gail, was a homemaker. Brad’s younger brother Robert also works at Global Home Finance as a Residential Mortgage Loan Originator. He has 2 sisters. One of hi sister's, Jennifer, is an LVN with two sons. His youngest sister, Amy, is a community sales manager for local home builders. Brad excelled in high school and was offered a full scholarship to DeVry Institute of Technology on his academic merits. Brad worked as a faculty assistant assisting professors and students inside and outside the classroom to fulfill their educational goals. Brad graduated from college in only 3 years and 3 months taking summer and weekend classes to accelerate his graduation date. At age 21 he received a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Information Systems. He graduated the semester of September 11, 2001, on October 27, 2001, and decided to start a small computer service business. After 2 years of operating Data Vigilance with his business partner, Brad tore his ACL playing basketball. So, he decided it was time to take a corporate job. Brad went to work at CitiMortgage where he became a mortgage loan processor. After about a year he worked his way up to be a loan officer in CitiFinancial Mortgage. From there he went to Countrywide and worked in two divisions as a loan officer. Next, he became a team lead at a small Plano mortgage company, and then became a branch manager for an Addison mortgage banker. In December of 2004 his first daughter was born. On March 10th of 2008, he received his Mortgage Broker license. Then, days later, he welcomed his second daughter into this world.
Brad started the idea of Global Home Finance Inc. on December 31, 2006. As a man of direct action, he went to the Irving, TX locations of Fry’s Electronics and purchased a Printer, scanner, copier, fax that same day. He established much of the infrastructure the next two months in the early morning and late evenings before leaving his position as a Team Leader for the now defunct mortgage company Dallas Home Loans. Initially, he operated as a branch of another company until he could secure his license as a mortgage broker and the corresponding designations and approvals to originate Conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage loans.
Brad has guided Global Home Finance from the formation as a sole proprietorship in August 2007 to incorporation on June 24th, 2008. Then a VA approved lender in December 2009 and most recently the designation of USDA approved lender.
He has now turned Global Home Finance Inc. into a multi million-dollar producer monthly of mortgage-backed securities. In June of 2013, Global Home Finance Inc. made the transition from only brokering loans to receiving approval to conduct operations as a mortgage banker funding loans under its own facilities.
